Visited Concerto again this week to check on the recent 'release' of some nice early 80's disco records and found this nice Prelude EP "Keep on jump in'" by Musique, PRL 12158. I never came across this record so took it, also the sleeve is in good condition and nice as a piece of art from that time!

While visiting Pien, Eric and Bart Uithoorn we went out to get some take-away Chinese food from a restaurant next to the Amstel river. This is the view just outside the restaurant.

Whenever there is an auction we visit the Oprechte veiling in Haarlem. Usually a wide range of items can be viewed there before they are sold. This time we saw a nice 'Sun' shaped clock. Unfortunately we didn't get the item.

Someone dumped a lot of nice early 80's disco 12'' records at Concerto. I was there a couple of times this week and on one occasion i found PRL D 619, JEANETTE LADY DAY Come let me love you, from 1981. This was a new track to me so a nice find. It contains the vocal and instrumental versions mixed by the one and only Francois Kevorkian.

Beautiful overview of the Museumplein in the direction of the Concertgebouw. We were driving on the bike to the center to do some shopping when we crossed the museumplein, saw the view and stopped to make this picture.

Had this track already for a long time as mp3 on the computer. Recently came across it on Ebay when it 'hit' one of my many Ebay searches. This one is the 2-record version that includes both MAW and Kenlou mixes of this nice track. I just love the MAW Dub version, is just one of those great MAW productions, when will they produce such quality again?

Scott on Naktalk mentioned a shortcomming on the Naks.com website's database. Several decks showed an incorrect  amount of segments for the LED display. I dived into my archive and looked into several service manuals and with some additional help the isse was fixed. I  updated the amount of segments on all BX/RX/MR and some CR decks.

Our once-a-year visit to Artis was today! It was a very hot and beutiful day and we saw the baby lions Ayana en Nyota , monkeys, sea lions Jip & Janneke and the elephant Yindee! If you watch the picture closely you can see Yindee between the legs of the right elephant.
